Experienced Service Technician

All roads lead to Downeast Toyota, one of the largest Toyota dealers in Maine.

Our Service Department is on pace for a record setting year!  To meet growing customer demand, we have an immediate opening for an experienced Service Technician with a proven track record in production, quality control, customer satisfaction and safety.

 

The schedule for this position includes four, ten hour days as part of a rotating schedule that results in five consecutive days off every three weeks.

 

Job Requirements:
  • Maine State Inspection License
  • ASE Certified
  • A minimum of 5 years general automotive repair experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and a safe driving history
  • Industry specific tools
  • Availability to work four, ten hour days between Monday and Saturday

 

  Skills Required:
  • Experience using a scan tool to retrieve diagnostic trouble codes.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot drivability concerns.
  • Ability to diagnose Engine, Transmission, ABS, Air bag, and other safety systems.
  • Skill and experience replacing suspension parts and performing alignments.
  • Ability to perform internal engine repairs.
  • Ability to perform differential repairs.
  • Toyota certification preferred but not required.
  • Torch training.
  • Ability to use a strut spring compressor safely.
  • Ability to use a press to replace wheel bearings.
