Collision Repair Estimator

Full Time. The Collision Repair Estimator leads customers through the process of getting their vehicle repaired after an accident. He or She will act as the liaison between the customer, insurance company and parts vendors to ensure the repair process goes smoothly and is completed correctly.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect, analyze and evaluate damaged vehicles to create a comprehensive and accurate damage report.
• Ensure compliance with all insurance client requirements, processes and metrics when writing estimates including part selection, photo documentation and upload requirements.
• Provide customers with accurate and timely information, guiding them through the repair process and ensuring that they receive excellent customer service.
• Build a relationship with vehicle owners, repairers and insurance personnel to negotiate costs and close customer sales, as well as communicate the importance of the satisfaction survey.
• Build and maintain a professional and cordial working relationship with all body shop and dealership employees.
• Ensure that each customer receives a final updated repair plan after complete disassembly in order to write accurate estimates/supplements and ensure timely uploads of estimates/supplements as required.
• Attend daily production meetings and obtain status updates on each vehicle.
• Complete Toyota, ASE and I-Car training.
• Complete OSHA training as required.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s license and safe driving history.
• Two years experience in customer service.
• Three years experience in collision repair estimating preferred.
• Two years experience automotive dealership experience preferred.
• ASE and ICAR estimating certification preferred.
• Must be able to meet the physical job requirements.
• Consistent and regular availability to work 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and every third Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Availability to work overtime with little or no notice.
• Experience and comfort with computer software including CCC and estimating systems and Microsoft programs.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
