The 2022 Toyota Highlander has six gas trim levels and five hybrid trim levels. The gas trim levels will be our focus on our page. Scroll down to learn a little about each trim level: the L, LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum. A variety of Highlander trim level options are available here at Downeast Toyota in Brewer, ME.
The L is the base trim level. It has the lowest starting price of just $35,405. A lot of times, you’ll see this MSRP associated with the 2022 Toyota Highlander, but keep in mind that higher trim levels do have their own MSRPs. The base model has the lowest price and the most basic features.
Moving into the higher half of the trim level options, we have the XSE for $42,200 starting MSRP. This sporty model features 20-inch wheels, twin-tip exhaust pipes, and a sport-tuned independent front suspension with a stabilizer bar. That translates to a smoother ride.
Starting at $37,605, the LE has everything offered on the base model. That’s a theme with trim levels: As you move up the ranks, they offer everything available on the lower trim levels, plus some extras. This model adds a Blind Spot Monitor, a power liftgate, and LED fog lights.
As one of the highest trim levels, the Limited is a luxury vehicle. It starts out at $44,560. Features that it adds to the already long list it gets from its underlings include an eleven-speaker audio system, a hands-free power liftgate, and leather-trimmed seats with heating and ventilation.
You’ll gain some luxury features if you choose the XLE trim level. It adds a wireless charger, a power tilt and slide moonroof, and SofTex ®-trimmed front and second-row seats with heated front seats. All of that for the starting MSRP of $40,605.
Finally, the highest trim level is the Platinum, with a starting price of $47,560. This model adds a larger touchscreen display, a sunshade on the panoramic tilt and slide moonroof, and a Bird’s Eye View Camera with dynamic gridlines.
