2020 Toyota Tundra Engine and Towing Specs

With a foundation built on power and toughness, the 2020 Toyota Tundra will deliver at every turn. In the new model year, the Toyota Tundra will discontinue use of the 4.6-liter i-FORCE V-8 engine and make the 381-horsepower 5.7-liter i-FORCE V-8 the standard powertrain. Armed with a heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission, an ultra-strong TripleTech® frame and a 5.7-liter i-FORCE V-8 that makes 401 pound-feet of torque, the Toyota Tundra will tow up to 10,200 pounds of cargo with a 1,730-pound payload. An available 4WDemand Part-Time 4WD system with an Automatic Limited-Slip Differential will cater to drivers who love to hit the trail.

2020 Toyota Tundra Features and Technology

To upgrade your drive, the 2020 Toyota Tundra will employ the next-generation Toyota Entune™ 3.0 touchscreen infotainment system. Entry-level Toyota Tundras will feature a 7-inch Toyota Entune™ 3.0 touchscreen display with one-touch access to Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Connect and Amazon Alexa – technology not available in the 2019 Toyota Tundra. Upgrades to the Toyota Entune™ 3.0 infotainment system include an 8-inch touchscreen, integrated navigation and a 12-speaker JBL® premium sound system. Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0 is an added asset for the 2020 Toyota Tundra.

Many upgrades to the 2020 Toyota Tundra spec sheet will be applied to the Tundra TRD Pro trim level. Tundra TRD Pro entries will now be available in Double Cab and CrewMax Cab configurations and will add Toyota Smart Key® with push-button start and the top-of-the-line 8-inch Toyota Entune™ 3.0 JBL® Premium Audio and Navigation infotainment system with access to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa.
