Come support the Downeast Toyota team at the Champion the Cure Challenge on August 19. You will find many team members at the Champion Village and many more who will be donating their time, running the Kids’ Challenge by Downeast Toyota. If you are participating in any of the fun and family-friendly events, you will see the Downeast Toyota safety car as well.

Champion the Cure Challenge Location, Schedule of Events and FAQs

If you want to join the fight against cancer, the annual 2017 Champion the Cure Challenge is the perfect place. An incredible charity event hosted at the EMMC Cancer Care Center in Brewer, this year’s event will take place on August 19 with events throughout the day. At the fundraiser, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a run/walk, a bike ride, a motorcycle ride, the Ultimate Challenge, concessions, entertainment and a Kidzone that is sponsored by Downeast Toyota.   • 5 a.m. – 100 Mile Cycle Flex/Ultimate Challenge Start 
  • 6 a.m. – 100 Mile Cycle Start 
  • 6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. – 25/50/75 Mile Cycle Registration 
  • 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. – Walk/Run Packet Pickup and Registration 
  • 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. – Breakfast 
  • 7 a.m. – 75 Mile Cycle Start 
  • 7:30 a.m. – 50 Mile Cycle Start 
  • 8:30 a.m. – Send Off Celebration/Honoree Recognition 
  • 9 a.m. – 25 Mile Cycle and 10K/5K/1K Walk/Run Start 
  • 9:30 a.m. to Noon – Lunch 
  • 11:30 a.m. – Motorcycle Ride Start 
  • Noon – Reception 
  • 3 p.m. – Event Conclusion

Will the Event Take Place Rain or Shine? Yes! The show must go on. In the event of severe weather, the schedule may be modified, with changes announced on the website. 

Are Pets Allowed at the Event? Only service animals are allowed at the event. 

Will Food Be Available at the Event? Yes! Free breakfast and lunch will be provided for participants. 

Where Can I Park for the Event? On-site and off-site parking are provided with shuttle service for off-site locations. Off-site parking will be at Jeff’s Catering, Cianbro and SnapSpace. 

What Is Not Allowed on the Course? No rollerblades, skateboards, scooters or bikes will be allowed on the run/walk course. No buggies, sidecars or child seats are allowed on the cycling course.
