Tailor-made for family adventures, the three-row Toyota Highlander will make room for eight passengers in standard configurations and seven passengers with second-row Captain’s Chairs. Next-generation 2020 Toyota Highlander entries employ Toyota New Global Architecture to make the new model 2.36 inches longer and add more cargo space. The 2020 Toyota Highlander is available in five grades – L, LE, XLE, Limited and Platinum. Previous 2019 Toyota Highlander entries are available in five trim levels – LE, LE Plus, XLE, SE and Limited. All-new Toyota Highlander entries provide 16.1 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row with up to 73.3 cubic feet of available space with the rear seats laid flat.

Power and performance are hallmarks of the Toyota Highlander design and the 2020 Toyota Highlander takes performance to the next level. Gas-powered 2020 Toyota Highlander entries employ a standard 295-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine married to a Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission to make 22 mpg combined. The 2019 Toyota Highlander features two gas engines – a 185-horsepower 2.7-liter four-cylinder that makes 20 mpg in the city and a 295-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine. A more efficient 240-horsepower 2.5-liter Hybrid System will be a highlight of the 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and will improve fuel economy by 17 percent – with a 34 mpg combined fuel-economy rating. Next-generation 2020 Toyota Highlander entries will employ a more capable Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD System with Drive Mode Select and Driveline Disconnect.

To amp up entertainment, the new 2020 Highlander will feature a standard 8-inch Toyota Entune™ 3.0 touchscreen infotainment system with access to Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa that will replace the 2019 Highlander’s 6.1-inch Toyota Entune™ touchscreen. A class-exclusive 12.3-inch Toyota Entune™ 3.0 touchscreen will upgrade entertainment when you opt for the 2020 Toyota Highlander Platinum.
