A highly-anticipated Memorial Day event each year, the Greater Bangor Area 2016 Memorial Day Parade celebrates our fallen veterans with all of the pomp and circumstance they deserve. Get to the parade route early so you can get a great seat and enjoy the trumpet blasts of local marching bands and brightly-colored floats clad in red, white and blue. Coordinated by the Bangor High School JROTC and the Cole Land Transportation Museum, this procession promises to be an truly patriotic celebration of our veterans. Following the parade, a Memorial Day ceremony will be held at Davenport Park.

Honor Flight is an incredible experience for our veterans and at the Memorial Day Fundraiser, you can help raise money for this incredible event. Admission to the fundraiser is just $10 and activities include a barbeque lunch, your favorite classic cars on display, live bluegrass music by local bands and a silent auction with prizes donated by local businesses. This is a great Memorial Day event that promises fun for the whole family and will go a long way towards providing veterans with a memorable experience on future Honor Flights.
